Who we are
De Melo Builders INC. is a construction business based in Miami, Florida. This notice describes information handled through our website and project inquiry forms. Contact us at [email protected] or (305) 878-0019 with privacy questions.
Information you choose to provide
When you request an estimate or consultation, we collect your name, email address, project type and project description. You may also provide your phone number, project address, property type, budget range, project size, preferred timing, consultation format, photographs and plans. Please send only information needed to discuss the work. Do not submit Social Security numbers, payment card or bank account details, passwords, medical information, government ID documents or other sensitive records. Only upload material you have permission to share.
Website operation and security
The website uses an essential session cookie for owner sign-in and a browser preference to remember whether the opening animation has been shown. Our systems and hosting providers may process IP addresses, request times and technical request information to deliver the site, limit spam and investigate errors or misuse. The website does not currently use advertising cookies, advertising pixels or third-party visitor analytics. Ordinary inquiry forms do not require a customer account.
How we use information
We use your information to respond to you, discuss the scope of a project, prepare or follow up on an estimate, arrange a consultation and maintain necessary business records. We also use limited technical information to operate and protect the website. Submitting an inquiry does not enroll you in a marketing mailing list or authorize promotional text messages. A requested appointment remains pending until we confirm it with you.
Who receives information
When you submit an estimate or consultation request, the website sends it by email to the two designated company contacts, with any photographs or plans you attached, and then discards it. We also send a short confirmation to the email address you provided, stating only that your request was received; it contains no uploaded files and does not promise a response time. The website does not keep a copy of your request, your contact details or your uploaded files. If you choose a consultation time, the time is held on our calendar with an internal reference number only, without your name or contact details. Hosting, email delivery and email service providers process information as needed to supply their services. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect legal rights and security. We do not publish your inquiry or project photographs as a portfolio entry without permission.
Retention and deletion
Because the website does not store inquiries, there is nothing to delete from the website itself. Your request lives in the company email accounts that received it and, briefly, in the email delivery service's own logs. Those copies have their own retention cycles. Records needed for a project, accounting, insurance, a dispute or legal obligations may be retained for the period required for that purpose. Website backups contain website content and account information only, never inquiries, and are scheduled to expire after 30 days. Contact us to request review or deletion of your request from company email.
Your choices and requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you submitted. Use the email address you submitted where possible. We may ask for enough information to verify the request; please do not email identity documents unless we agree on an appropriate secure method. We will consider requests under applicable law and explain any information we must retain. You may decline optional form fields or contact us by phone instead. Applicable legal rights are not limited by this notice.
Security
We use access controls, restricted uploads and safeguards appropriate to the website. Production connections are intended to use HTTPS. No website, email service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe information has been sent to the wrong person or exposed. We investigate security incidents and provide notices when required by applicable law.
Children, external links and changes
Our services and inquiry forms are intended for adults planning construction projects, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; contact us if you believe a child has provided information. External websites, including social media services, have their own privacy practices. We may update this notice when our practices change and will update the date above. We will provide additional notice when applicable law requires it.
